To be sorely missed by his many fans, Ed McMahon has passed away at the age of 86, according to breaking reports.
Losing his battle with cancer this morning (June 24), McMahon had been receiving care at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in California.
Working on NBC’s Tonight Show alongside Johny Carson for much of his career, Ed was best known for welcoming a nightly national audience with his opening line of “Heeeeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny.”
Along with his Tonight Show duties, McMahon was also “a veteran of the United States Marines and served as a fighter pilot during World War II.”
